Lost in random xbox series x8/1/2023 ![]() Nice enough combat with an okay enough variety in all. It's visually stunning in it's own way and you are always enriched by how each new town has it's own unique quirks and townsfolk to match. New characters just pop up everywhere through the whole game so there is plenty and plenty of this to come across too. Seeing the enchanting and often funny dialogue exchanges between player and other characters. It come along too with the landscape that is around you. Their personality is shown not just in how they speak but in also how they are drawn. The main character designs are unique and full of energy in their own way. The rest of the game is where this shines. Just a few major fights per town pretty much. You actually don't fight a lot in the first half of the game anyway. Standard combat otherwise is pretty basic and arcade like. The card system is what I like best about the combat. It keeps things varied just enough for the most part. Since you get ample upgrades and new cards, with new functions, upon progression. I can assure you that only at the very, very end did it feel that way for me. At a glance, it does look like the combat would be repetitive. ![]() I initially only played it because it was free on GamePass but I was taken in by so much character and charm in the end. It Honestly, this game was a thrill to me. ![]() ![]()
